Single Storey Side Extension, Nursling

This small project was carried out within the grounds of a Grade 1 Listed property we look after in Nursling. The resident required to replace her unused patio space with somewhere that she could enjoy the outside views without the outside temperature.

We guided the customer through the planning process and the many requirements of the local heritage officers who wanted to ensure that the build would be in keeping with the other properties within the grounds of the listed building.

What you see is the approved design. This is on traditional strip foundations and a block and beam floor.

Internal skin to blockwork external in brickwork to match the existing structure. The remainder is a mixture of structural steel and architectural aluminium windows, to add more light a sky pod was also fitted.

The final fit out and embellishments were to fall to the on-site maintenance team and the customer.
